A new HENRI Hotel on the Bay of Lübeck.
A new HENRI Hotel is being built in Travemünde, where the River Trave flows into the Baltic Sea. Inside, you will find what HENRI stands for: a room that feels like it was yours long ago, fresh coffee in the living lounge and an in-house kitchen that prepares breakfast à la HENRI for you.
The promenade and passing ships are right outside the door, with the spa gardens behind you. We look forward to welcoming you from the beginning of 2028. Be our guest - soon.
This is what awaits you at the HENRI Hotel Travemünde.
Construction is still underway and many things are only just being finalised on paper. But a few things have already been finalised - the things that really matter at HENRI. Here is a first glimpse of what you can soon expect at the HENRI Hotel Travemünde.

Environmentally orientated: Energy in focus, right from the start.
Even during the construction of our hotel in Travemünde, we pay attention to the use of energy and resources. A photovoltaic system on the roof generates electricity, a heat pump supplies heat, the green roof surface absorbs rainwater and digital technology controls energy consumption in the building. For the HENRI Hotel in Travemünde, we are aiming for Gold certification in accordance with the international LEED building standard.

Experiences in Travemünde

Watching the big pots
Sit on the promenade and watch the ferries depart for Scandinavia. It's amazing how calming a departing ship can be.

Up to the lighthouse
142 steps, a small museum along the way and the entire Trave estuary at a glance from the top. The oldest lighthouse on the German coast is worth every single one.

A day in Lübeck
From Travemünde you can be in the Hanseatic city in a good 20 minutes: Holsten Gate, seven towers and marzipan, which you should try in its original form.

Fish sandwiches at the harbour
Fresh, honest, right by the water - the fish sandwich that makes a stroll through Travemünde complete.

Along the cliffs
A path leads from Brodtener Ufer high above the water towards Niendorf: four kilometres of wind and space, with a beach café as a reward.

Walk to the Nordermole
Stroll out to the green and white pier lights, where the Trave meets the Baltic Sea. A good place to watch the ships and let the wind really blow you through.
