Dog-friendly holidays 
at HENRI

Here's what you need to know about your HENRI stay, so you and your canine friend can arrive in Kitzbühel completely at ease.

Dogs are welcome at HENRI, but must be registered at the time of booking.

A fee of €15 per dog per night applies.

Welcome package: a cosy blanket, food and water bowls, treats and a discreet door notice card.

Your dog has their own dedicated blanket in the room – a restful spot that leaves your bed as your sanctuary.

Dogs (even the most well-behaved) must remain on a leash throughout the hotel.

For hygiene reasons, dogs are not permitted in the spa or hotel kitchen. However, outdoor seating areas welcome your companion. Please feel free to ask us. 

If your dog remains in the room, place the do-not-disturb sign on the door so our team knows.

Walks & Hikes in Kitzbühel

Meadows, streams, mountains and picturesque landscapes as far as you can see. Most trails around Kitzbühel are dog-friendly, depending on your dog's fitness level.
 

Watch out for grazing cattle and winter sports enthusiasts on the slopes. To keep everyone safe, many areas require dogs to remain on a leash.

Here are several beautiful trails to get you started in Kitzbühel and beyond.

  1. Hike Around Schwarzsee Lake
    Picturesque round trip around Schwarzsee with breathtaking views of the Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel and the Kaiser mountains. Car parks sit right by the lake.

  2. Up to Hornköpflsee Lake
    Take the Hornbahn I and Horn-Gipfelbahn cable cars from Kitzbühel to the mountain station. After roughly 15 minutes you'll reach an Alpine flower garden – a stunning showcase of Tyrolean mountain flora. Continue towards Hornköpfl, where the Hornköpflhütte and Hornköpflsee lake with its Kneipp facilities are worth the visit before hiking back to the Alpenhaus and descending via cable car.

  3. Bichlach – Pond Paradise
    This round trip in Reith near Kitzbühel in Tyrol is a rare natural gem, crossing three ponds: Gierig, Vogelsberger and Hasenberger Weiher.

Dog meadow & bathing facilities

Near Schwarzsee lake, within a fenced 3,200 m² dog meadow, your dog can roam freely without restriction. Use is complimentary. In summer, the nearby Gieringer Weiher pond is perfect for a refreshing swim with your dog. Car parking is available at the meadow.

  • Pillersee in St. Ulrich am Pillersee (approximately 40 minutes' drive)
  • Walchsee (dogs welcome on the eastern shore; dedicated dog swimming area; approximately 40 minutes' drive)

Looking for Dog Food? Local supermarkets (SPAR, Billa and M-Preis) stock everything your dog needs. There's a Fressnapf branch in St. Johann/Tyrol (9 km away).
